Real Dinosaurs Fake Dinosaurs

The group of party kids where sitting around at lunch, spread over several picnic tables, eating snacks. A small little creature, cute, little like a beaver rat thing without a tail, came up towards Ru under the table, nudging at his foot.

Ru looked under the table and tilted his head at it. "Hello little thing!" he grinned, holding out some food to the creature.

The creature looked up at the food, tilting it's head, then taking it, chittering lightly.

"That's my favourite! You want more?" giggled Ru.

The creature chittered again, nudging his foot once again

Ru smiled. "Okay...try this!" he fed it a sausage roll.

"Rupertttt!" exclaimed a rather annoying little girl. "What are you doooing?"

The creature took it, then turning and running away to under a bench to eat.

At eh main entrance black vans had pulled up and men entered, starting to evacuate people. They were at the other end of the park to the party.

In a bright yellow VW Beetle convertable a guy with bright red hair and a wearing a black hoodie and pink jeans pulled up and got out. "Whoa..." he looked at his computer, where information and readings were going crazy. He locked his car and started running towards the magnetic pull.

Ru laughed at the girl, "grab some sausages and come with me! I'll show you!"

A lady dressed smart and cool in black with a leather jacket, with sunglasses and hair up in a pony tail with a cap. In her arms was a gun, a pistol in her belt. She followed the geek closely, eyes scanning for any creatures while other soilders cleared out the park.

The creature was happily eating.

"Wow! Seriously! You gotta see this!" he grinned, pointing to his screen. The 'geek' showed her the screen and laughed. "Seriously! This is great!" he did a little skip leap on the spot to show his excitement.

Ru grinned.

"Rupertttt...I'm not so suuuure..." the girl frowned before shaking her head and going to tell Manda that Ru was feeding a stray animal.

"Hey! Eat this!" Ru grinned, holding out a sausage.

Manda stood up, heading over towards where he could see the back of his son. "Ru-Ru? What ar you doing love?" he asked as he came over to him.

The creature chirped, hopping forwards and sniffing the sausage before taking the sausage and eating it happily, before it's front feet jumped up a few times and it turned around in a circle. At the sound of manda's voice, however, it turned and ran to beneath another bench out of sight.

"Nothing! Just a hedgehog!" grinned Ru, he span around, showing the sausage. "Feeding it!"

The little girl stood with her hands on her hips.

"Don't get too close to it," Manda smiled to him. "Come on, lets go back to the others." he guided his son back over to the tables, towards the little girl.

Parker looked to the screen, eyebrow rising. "And this means...what esactly?" she asked.

Tiberius frowned to her. "Look at the readings. Magnetic readings are off the sensors! Oh I almost forgot, you're not here for the intellect, you're just here so you can shoot something!" Tiberius scolded, breaking into a run to get to the anomaly faster.

"Yes, Dad..." Ru nodded following.

"So that you are alive to keep having fun with more dangerous animals," Parker replied, following him, keeping up easily.

Manda gave him a smile, glancing over to his husband.

The creature shittered from beneath a bench, watching Ru, then running out and along a path.

"They're not all dangerous, Parker!" exclaimed Tiberius frustratedly, pausing to glare before carrying on.

Ru paused before breaking into a run after it.

"Manda! Watch where he's going!" Rupert called out.

"No, a bite from a prehistoric rat couldn't give you a terminal infection," Parker replied, just continuing.

Manda looked back, then breaking into a run after his son. "RU!!"

"There's no such thing as a prehistoric rat...not it the way you're thinking...besides if one bit you I think you'd be more worried about getting that limb reattached than whether or not you've caught a cold!" Tiberius tripped, smashing his computer. "OH CRAP!" he exclaimed where his face lay in the dirt.

Ru just carried on running, following the cute creature.

"You alright," Parker asked, crouching by his side and offering him a hand to get up.

Manda kept chasing him

"Yes, but my computer isn't! I spent half my student loan on that!" Tiberius exclaimed, taking the hand to pull himself up before rushing to his computer.

Ru was just happily running after it. He wanted a cuddle.

"If it's to do your work on, I'm sure the gov coulod help you out. And I don't mean to rush you, but we must get to that anomoly."

The creature went round a corner, chirping happily.

Ru rounded the corner with him and happily, giggling as he went.

"Yeah, the government does sh*t all for people like me! It's people like you that get the benefits!"

The creature ran through a group of people who cried out and seperated to let the wierd thing through.

"Don't even start to talk about things you don't understand!" Parker shouted. "You don't know a thing about my situation so don't pretend for a second that you do! Now where is the anomoly?!"

"Don't get all PMSy on me, Parker!" Tiberius rolled his eyes. "Follow me."

Ru just carried on following.

Parker did follow him, fuming but quickly focusing on the task so as not to lose it. GOing round a corner, she saw the bright light of the anomoly, a little boy following a small creature towards the small thing. THen a call pulled her attention towards their leader who was running.

"RU!! NO! STOP!!" Manda called, trying desperately to catch up with his son.
