A Group Visit

Manda drove the car towards his work, being careful as usual. He had his son and daughter in the back in their booster seats, and his husband was in the passenger seat next to him.

Immy was humming happily as she watched out the window, legs swinging.

"are we going to see boss?! Are we going to see boss?!" Repeated the smaller Rupert from his dinosaur printed booster seat in the back of the car.

Rupert seemed a little unsettled as he looked out of the car and around at the world happening outside of the car.

"Yes, we are going to see Mr Kingston," Manda smiled. "But I want you to stay with me and your daddy and out of his way, okay?"

"Daddy! Daddy! Look! A lake!" Immy asid excitedly to Rupert as she spotted that they were passing a lake.

"Mm!!!! No!" giggled Ru-ru. "I want to see Boss!"

"Oh yes, that's a very big lake..." Rupert said, humouring his daughter, although exhausted.

"You can, but I want you to listen to us and stay out of the way. He's very busy today," Manda said as he turned into a road and then up to a barrier where he stopped as armed guards came forwards on his side of the car.

"Can we go see it later?!" Immy asked, looking to her daddy and leaning forwards in her seat.

"You'll have to ask your mummy..." smiled Rupert gently.

"I want to see boss!!!!" exclaimed Ru-ru

"Mummy!!!" Immy looked to her Mum instead.

"Maybe later,"Manda nodded to Immy as he put down his window. "And you will get to, Ru-Ru." He then looked to the male guard as he reached the car.

"Hey, Manda. How are you?" the guard asked with a slightly flirtatious smile.

"Not too bad, thank you," Manda smiled politely as he passed over a small book that was checked.

Rupert stiffened slightly at the way the guard interacted with his wife. He looked away out of his window.

Ru-ru was getting very excited.

"Amd your visitors...?" the guard asked with a smile as he passed back Manda's book.

"My husband and children," Manda replied, smiling slightly as the guard withdraw slightly in his position.

"Right...well have a good day," the guard nodde, stepping back.

Manda nodded in thanks, putting back up his window and carrying on driving when the barrier lifted.

Immy was watching the guards with captured eyes, the guns even more so.

Ru-ru was just excitedly waving at all the guards.

Rupert just carried on looking away from the guards and his wife.

Immy had her hands on the window and face presssed against it as she watched.

Manda glanced to his husband as he pulled into his designated carparkbay. "Everything okay?"

"Hm? Oh yeah...don't worry..." Rupert said quietly.

"WHERE IS BOSS?!"

Manda gave a small nod as he turned off the engine. "We'll see him in a minute, Ru-Ru"

Manda leant over and kissed Rupert lightly on the cheek. "Do y ou want to get Immy out?"

"I'll try..." Rupert smiled weakly.

"I WANT TO SEE HIM NOW!"

Manda stroked through his shorter hair lightly, smilng, "You'll be fine." He kissed his cheek and then pulled back, unstrapping himself and then getting out of the car. He went to Ru's door and opened it. "If you carry on, you won't see him at all," he said warningly. "Don't shout and be patient," he started to unstrap his sonn

Rupert caught Manda's hand and discretely kissed it lightly before letting it go.

"But Mummy!!!" Rupert looked like he might cry. "Boss is my best friend!"

Manda had blushed lightly but smiled at the gesture.

Immy was waiting patiently in her booster seat.

"I know, darling," Manda kissed her son's head. " And I said you can see him, but shouting won't make it happen any faster." He unstrapped him.

Rupert turned to get himself out of the car.

Ruru was in a strop now.

Immy was swinging her legs as she waited.

Manda picked him up out of ther car and put him on his hip.

Ruru was being really quiet, which was unusual to him.

Rupert got out and went to get his daughter out.

Manda ran a hand through his hair, kissing his cheek, as he closed the car door.

Immy smiled happily to her daddy. "Daddy, can I hold on of the guns? Pretty please?"

"G-guns?! No!" Rupert paused in shock as he was leaning over to undo her belt.

Ruru wouldn't look at his mummy.

Imogen pouted slightly. "But they're so pretty, I want to see one up close. Mummy wouldn't let me before."

Manda leant slightly against the car, waiting for his husband and daughter.

Ruru was trying to slip away.

"No...honey, guns are dangerous...not until you're a lot older..." Rupert undid her belt.

Manda was still holding his son on his hip in his arms.

"BUt mummy gets to hold one, and his friends at work."
